The Plaza at Palmer Ranch The Plaza at Palmer Ranch
Minder & Associates Engineering Corporation (M&A) first did the boundary, topographic and tree survey. There were over 1800 trees on the site. M&A working with the architect and the Forestry Division of Sarasota County worked out the site plan to save as many trees as possible and still provide the maximum building and parking space on the site. The Site contained a large wetland at the southeast corner of the site. M&A designed the storm sewer system to first discharge to a treatment pond and then to the wetlands for storm water retention of the 100 year 24 hour storm and recharge of the aquifer. The outfall structure was designed to discharge to the U. S. route 41 Right of Way and then south to North Creek. M&A designed the sanitary sewer collection system, the paving, grading and drainage plans and the plat for this site

M&A obtained permits from Central County Utility (CCU), Department of Environmental Protection (DEP), Army Corps of Engineers, Southwest Florida Water Management District (SWWMD), Sarasota County Health Department (SCHD), Sarasota County Transportation Department (SCTD) and the Sarasota County Land Development Coordinator. M&A, also, prepared the boundary survey for the Target Department Store Building and Parking and all of the easements and cross easements for parking and utilities.
